基于粒子系统的海量云层数据的可视化研究

摘    要:云层数据的可视化对于场景的真实展示十分重要,但是由于PC终端硬件设备的限制以及市场对于云层数据可视化仿真精度要求的不断更新,云层数据可视化一直以来都是研究人员研究的热点。本文在总结前人多种绘制方法的基础上,提出了一种利用粒子系统进行云层数据可视化的方法,并使用了LOD(Levels of Detail,简称LOD)的方法,在不影响整体可视化效果的前提下,降低了某些云层的绘制精度,从而减少了CPU的运算量,提高了场景的实时性和适应性。

Abstract:The visualization of cloud data is very important to simulating real scenarios.Due to the limited performances of PC hardware platforms and the continuously increasing requirements of accurate visualizations of cloud data,the visualization research has always been a research hotspot.This paper brings up a new method to present cloud effects via the particle system based on evaluating pos-and-con of previous achievements.It explains the idea of utilizing LOD(Levels of Detail,or LOD)to reduce the computation workloads on CPU and the precision of drawing cloud.This solution cannot only maintain the overall effects,but improve the real-time performance and applicability of the scene.
