The Reflection on The University Spirit of Chinese Ancient Times

There was a perfect system of public school and private school in Chinese ancient times, in which many aspects of Chinese ancient higher private schools and some public schools are similar to modern universities such as the scale and guiding principle for running a university, and so on, while the "great learning" concepts such as the independence, morality first and service for society embodied in it are of referential values today. Therefore, these spirits become the academic center, the source of new ideological trend and cultivate customs and practices, which contributes a lot to the thinking habits of the whole society and the development of moral human relations.
