Abstract:In this paper, the nonlinear acoustic impedance of the micro-perforated panel is investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The flow motion in the vicinity of panel is analysed on the basis of fundamental equations in aerodynamics. The lst approach of the theoretical solution is derived. The origins of the nonlinear resistance and reactance are discussed. Taking into account the linear effect, formulas for calculation are obtained. Experimental measurement is undertaken with two-micro-phone method. It is shown that the results of calculation are in good agreement with the experimental values.
