中英收交威海卫租借地交涉之探析

威海卫是中国通过外交方式收回的第一块外国在中国的租借地。是20世纪初中国历史上的重大事件。从北京政府到南京国民政府,中英就威海卫的收交进行了8年多的谈判,其间几经周折,谈判协议也几经修改,到1930年国民政府最终收回了原本1923年到期的威海卫。但威海卫是在中国作出妥协的基础上收回的,英国保留了许多特权,使威海卫的收回大打折扣。

Analysis on the Sino - Britain Negotiation about Taking back the Leased Land of Weihai Wei

Weihai Wei, one of the leased lands foreign countries established in China, was the first one taken back by the Chinese government through diplomatic strategy, which was a momentous event in the early 20th century in China. Chinese and British governments proceeded negotiations for more than 8 years, during which the agreement witnessed repeated revisions. In 1930, the Chinese government took back Weihai Wei which would have been done in 1923. However, it was done at the price of Chinese govemment＇s compromise, and Britain then still reserved many privileges, which discounted the action.
