系统工程的本质

摘    要: 从"工程"一词的语意着手,对比分析了科学、技术和工程的区别,从而辨析了系统工程的本质和基本属性,并与系统科学、系统思维进行了区分,总结了以人造系统为目标的工程项目中系统工程的定义,梳理了系统工程与项目管理的区别与联系,解释了各种系统工程说法的来源与其背后的含义。

Abstract:To begin with the analysis of the linguistic meaning of the word engineering, this paper points the essence and characters of systems engineering (SE) on the basis of the difference between science, technology and engineering. The paper also summarizes the definition of SE applied in the engineering projects developing man-made systems, elaborates on the relationship and difference between SE and project management, explains the implication of various arguments about SE. This paper will help catch the essence of SE accurately which may contribute to the research and application of SE at present.
