| Abstract: | YAN Wen-jing is one of the earliest writers that were engaged in the writing of fairy tales in China. His works have some sharp artistic characteristics which, even now in the uproarious and impetuous field of literature today, is still worthy of appreciation and reference. This paper analyzes three features of the creation of his fairy tales: rich in philosophic theories; filled with poetic and pictorial splendor, adept writing skills, especially good at using the tactics of comparison. And at last it points out the limitation of his creation. |
