| 摘 要： | 美国南方小说集大成者威廉.福克纳笔下的“约克纳帕塔法世系”充满了浓郁的基督教文化气息。福克纳通过把其笔下的人物与基督教原型进行类比以获取独树一帜的艺术效果并给人以深刻的哲学思考。本文以其代表作《八月之光》中的人物分析为切入点,通过乔.克里斯默斯类比倒置的耶稣,盖尔.海托华类比流放的耶稣来领会福克纳作品中的反讽。

| Abstract: | Being the representative of American Southern Novelist,William Faulkner constructs a Yoknapatawpha county full of Christian culture.Faulkner compares his characters with the ones in the Bible so as to earn the special artistic effect and to arouse deep philosophical contemplation.Comparing Joe Christmas with the inverted Christ and Gail Hightower with the exilic Christ,this paper in tends to explore the satirical effect in Faulkner's great work,Light in August. |
