《人生》是一个具有现代性审美品格的文本,小说以传统的“痴心女子负心汉”的叙事模式,表现了高加林身处文化裂变的时代,寻找人生价值行为的悖谬与荒诞。《人生》与《伤逝》在某种意义上都是“负心汉”的忏悔文本,相距半个多世纪的两个忏悔者的遭遇表明:背负着沉重的“十字架”是生于传统之中,寻求超越传统的新人不得不接受的一种命运。

Heavy Bondage and Irredeemable Sin -- A Comparison of Human Life and Grief over Past Happenings

Human Life is a modern literal work of great aesthetic value. Molded on the traditional theme of "an infatuated girl bring deserted by the heartless husband", the story tells us how reverse and absurd it is as Gao Jialin, who lived at a time of great cultural change, did his utmost to seek and pursue his own value of life. In a sense, both Human Life and Grief over Past Happenings can be classified as versions of repentance.
