Principle and assembling of frequency modulation radio is an important professional experiment . In this paper ,principle and experimental procedures of frequency modulation radio have been introduced in detail .Moreover ,based on analysis of students'experimental process ,optimized teaching approaches have also been proposed .By decomposing the experimental procedures ,students are asked to practice important technique ,and to perform the experiment independently .As a result ,the experiment is under ordered con-trol ,while the proposed approaches are extensively discussed to optimize the teaching .
