| Abstract: | Different methods for defining the object security class in a multilevel security relationaldatabase system are discussed. The multilevel relational schema based on the data item level is described. It is shown that the method with polyinstantiation can be used to prevent the leakage of higher security class data. Hierarchical storage can not only improve the security of data, but also reducethe redundancy in data induced by polyinstantiation. The method of the decomposition and recovery ofthe multilevel relation are discussed at length. |
