| 摘 要： | Colonial heroes in imperial romance once won prevalent popularity in 19th century novel writing and drew great attention fromits time.In order to analyze this phenomenon,this paper first narrows down the topic of discussion to those typical colonial heroes in Robin-son Crusoe and King Solomon’s Mines,and then aim at outlining the features of colonial heroes in the hope of providing an insight into thecharacterization of heroes in the genre.
