| Abstract: | Based on the explanation of the meanings and functions of public signs, this paper gives a detailed study on the present situation of the translation of public signs on the main scenic spots of Wuhan, such as in The Yellow Crane Tower, The East Lake, Wuhan Botanical Garden and Ma Anshan Forest Park. After analyzing the main reasons of the errors of the C-E translation of public signs, the paper presents several suggestions on how to improve the English translation of public signs. |
