802.11无线局域网的媒体接入机制性能分析

摘    要:提出了一种基于马尔可夫链的分析模型,用以评价无线信道上的误码对IEEE无线局域网中的基本接入机制和RTS/CTS接入机制的饱和吞吐量的影响,实验结果表明,基本接入机制的性能在很大程度上受用户数和误码率的影响,RTS/CTS接入机制的性能仅对误码率敏感,研究工作为无线信道上纠错编码的设计提供了良好的技术依据,对于无线局域网的接入控制,无线局域网的应用具有较大意义。

Abstract:An analytical model based on Markovian Chain was proposed to evaluate the impacts of bit errors in the wireless channels on the saturate throughput of IEEE wireless LAN depending on both basic access scheme and RTS/CTS access scheme. Experimental results showed that the performance of the former was significantly influenced by the number of users and bit error rate, but the performance of the latter was sensitive to the bit error rate. The research provided strong technical foundation for designing Forward Error Correction (FEC) codes to combat the bit errors in wireless channels. It was significant for both media access control and application of wireless LAN.
