| Abstract: | Summary Oxythiamine reversed the growth inhibition ofSaccharomyces cerevisiae caused by pyrithiamine, although oxythiamine alone inhibited yeast cell growth. This phenomenon was explained by thiamine production from these 2 thiamine antagonists which was demonstrated using cell suspensions and the crude extract ofS. cerevisiae. |
