论抗战时期湖南的交通

抗战爆发后，为了使湖南的交通与大后方连接，国民政府和湖南省政府大力开发水陆交通线，修筑了湘桂铁路湘段、衡宝公路和洞榆公路，并对原有公路进行改造。但由于日军不断进攻，湖南的陆路交通线常遭破坏。同时，政府统制水运，大力发展内河航运和水陆联运业务；近代走向衰落的驿运事业也发展起来。战时湖南的交通便利了后方大量物资的流通和人员流动，支撑了中国抗战；促进了全省经济和城市发展，加快了湖南社会的演进。

ON the Communication of Hunan During Anti-Japanese Period

The modern Communication of Hunan took shape at the beginning of the 20th century and had early development in the first ten years, before the Anti-Japanese war. After the war broke out, the Communication of Hunan jointthe war quickly and became an important part of the southwest Communication net. During the war, Hunan Communication played a very impoytant role in perfecting the whole province＇s financial organization, maintaining the reputation of tender, enlarging the product marlet and promoting the development of the whole Hunan economy. The Hunan Communication developed quickly at the fastest speed in this period. Many financial centres formed and which strongly supported. The Anti-Japanese war, and it also made the traditional Communication organization-Qianzhuang declined as well as changed the relationship of debit and credit in the country. However, Hunan Communication was obiviously influenced by the war, and it declined quickly as well as it developed.
