| Abstract: | In computational dynamics for structures,transmitting boundaries have to be introduced to take account of the dynamic interaction between structures and foundations.In this case,the standard viscous boundary conditions are simple and easy to be imposed on some artifitial truncated boundary.In order to be able to deal with the non plane wave behaviour near the transmitting boundary,the modified viscous boundary is proposed here with its deriviation and numerical examples. |
