| Abstract: | The changes of the domination related invariants, such as the domination number, the edge domination number, the total domination number, the connected domination number, the vertex edge weak/strong domination number and the edge vertex weak/strong domination number of graphs under the transformation in which one edge or one pendant vertex is deleted are discussed. For instance, it is proved that the vertex edge strong domination number changes by at most one when one edge is deleted, and that it decreases by one or remains unchanged when one vertex is deleted. Similar inequalities for other domination related invariants are proved under appropriate conditions. With these inequalities, it is proved that the domination number, the edge domination number, the vertex edge weak domination number, the vertex edge strong domination number and the edge vertex weak domination number interpolate over some families of subgraphs of a given connected graph. |
