南北朝以来,道教取得了长足的发展,道观的建置也随之增多。特别是到了唐代,道教取得了近似于国教的地位,道教宫观的发展规模也随之扩大,其在社会文化活动中所扮演的角色也日趋重要。由于唐代道观拥有良好的学习环境,许多唐代士子在道观中习业备考。
