| Abstract: | Mutation in the tumor suppressor p53 gene is turning out to be the mos t common genetis alteration in human cancer. Wild-type p53 gene play an importan t role in the control of cell cycle and induction of apoptosis. Introducting for eign wild-type p53 gene or p53 protein into tumor cell is a potent therapeutic s trategy for human cancer. The present paper reviews the characteristic, studing phases, action mechanism of p53 gene, and the advance of p53 tumor suppressor ge ne in human cancer. |
