大学英语大班型授课质量研究

本文以大连民族学院二○○五级非外语专业的本科学生以及该校外国语言文化学院大学外语部英语教师为研究对象,调查了大学英语大班型授课的益处与弊端。我们着重从四个角度展开调查:大班型授课与综合课堂效果间的关系,大班型授课与学生听课质量间的关系,大班型授课与教师授课质量间的关系,以及大班型授课与学生期末成绩间的关系。调查结果显示这种新的授课模式有其弊端,但也有其独到的优势。

Research on College English Teaching in Large Classes

This paper investigates the advantages and disadvantages of college English teaching in large classes. The subjects of the investigation come from English teachers in Foreign Language and Culture Department and the sophomores who don't major in foreign languages. We collect information from four angles: the relationship between English teaching in large classes and general class feedbacks; the relationship between English teaching in large classes and teachers' teaching quality; the relationship between English teaching in large classes and students' acquisition; the relationship between English teaching in large classes and students' final-term performance. The result shows that this new mode has its own disadvantages and its unique advantages.
