论“逻辑规约度”

熊学亮先生提出,在if条件句中,"形式逻辑仅与逻辑规约度为1的推理发生关系",而在"语用推理"中,逻辑规约度则小于1。逻辑规约度似乎是判断形式逻辑推理和语用推理的某种准则。分析该概念发现:当其等于1时,该概念是一个非常狭义的逻辑概念,并未涵盖形式逻辑的所有推理;当其小于1时,相关推理既可以是逻辑推理,又可以是语用推理。这只不过是从不同角度看待同一现象的问题。

On "Logical Conventionality"

It is argued, by Mr. Xiong and his colleague, that in the case of if--conditionals ＂formal logic is concerned merely with inferences in which logical conventionality is analyzed as equal to one＂ whereas ＂pragmatic inferences＂ involve those in which logical conventionality is analyzed as less than one. Logical conventionality seems therefore a certain norm by which to distinguish between inferences of formal logic and those of pragmatics. Based on our analysis of the concept in question, however, we find that when identified as equal to one it is a fairly narrow idea of logic which does not cover all types of inferences of formal logic; and that when it is identified as less than one the inferences involved may be either those of formal logic or those of pragmatics. It is only a matter of how to look at one and the same phenomenon.
