| Abstract: | Benzyl cinnamon has been synthesized with a quaterary ammonium salt as the catalyst.The mechanism and the factors affecting the reaction are discussed.On the optimum reaction conditions,91 6% yield of benzyl cinnamon can be obtained.IR spectrum analysis of the product is presented. |
