MnF2—BaCl2玻璃新型红外光纤材料损耗潜力的评估

摘    要:以MnF_2-BaCl_2玻璃为例,首次估计了混合卤化物玻璃的最低损耗。先对玻璃的Rayleigh散射因子进行理论估算,然后采用实验外推的方法测量了玻璃的多声子吸收参数,最后得到(MnF_2)_(60)(BaCl_2)_40玻璃的最低损耗约0.0011dB/km(λ_(min)=3.8μm)。从低损耗角度证明了MnF_2—BaCl_2玻璃是一类很有应用前景的红外光纤材料。

Abstract:For the first time lose minima of mixed halide glass was appraised by taking MnF2 -BaCl2 glass for instance. Based on the Rayleigh scattering loss of glass fibre obtained by estimation theoretically and the infrared absorption parameters measured using extrapolation method,the loss minima is predicted to be 0. 01 IdB/km at 3. 8um for (MnF2)fio(BaCl2) ,o glass. It can be expected that the halide manganese system glass MnF2 - BaCl2 has the potential to form ultimate low - loss infrared optical glass fibre.
