Abstract:This paper is concerned with the state observer design for large-scale systems with missing measurements.The linear discrete-time large-scale system was modeled as interconnection of N subsystems.The occurrence of missing measurements is assumed to be a Bernoulli distributed sequence with a known probability.A new state observer is designed to make the mean square error between the state of original system and state observer exponentially stable.Sufficient conditions are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) for the existence of a state observer.A numerical example is also provided to demonstrate the validity of the proposed design approach.
