Separators for Lithium Ion Batteries

摘    要:1 Results A separator for rechargeable batteries is a microporous membrane placed between electrodes of opposite polarity, keeping them apart to prevent electrical short circuits and at the same time allowing rapid transport of lithium ions that are needed to complete the circuit during the passage of current in an electrochemical cell, and thus plays a key role in determining the performance of the lithium ion battery. Here provides a comprehensive overview of various types of separators for lithium ion battery based on their state-of-art, chemical, mechanical and electrochemical properties, with particular emphasis on polyolefin membranes.
