英语语境中推理词汇意义的策略研究

在英语语境中,推理词义的学习策略对第二语言词汇学习的重要作用日益显现。但以中国非英语专业本科生为对象的实验研究分析发现,只有少部分学生能够进行成功的推理。因此,教师应积极主动地探索各种方式方法,来提高学生的推理成功率。

Inference the Word Meaning from the Context

This study is concerned with the learning strategies that ESL learners used to infer the meaning of new words from the context.An experiment is adopted to probe the inferential success of 21 intermediate ESL learners.Analysis reveals that the rate of success was low even when learners used context-inference strategies at their disposal.To improving such situation,this article discusses the pedagogical as well as theoretical implications of the findings for an integrated model of lexical inferencing.
