| 摘 要： | 汉语与西方文字的差异，即象形文字或表意文字与拼音文字的差异。这种差异的根子，在于由对待判断系词“是”而导致的两种不同的思想制度。透过西方文字的“being”，可以追溯到亚里七多德形而上学的“本体”和附属于本体的属性或形式的学说。化为形式逻辑，则是以同一律为基础的三大逻辑规则。Being不但是哲学与逻辑统一的基础，也是宗教、科学的基础，又是以主体一客体或文化一自然为代表的各种范畴一一对立的基础，总之，being标志着一种“垂直的逻辑”思维模式。汉语中的“是”从传统使用中就没有严格的形式逻辑意义上的系词效果，而是一种横向的类比思维，也就是把不一样的事物说成是一样的。在传统上称之为“兴”，即所谓“象征”。在效果上，汉语思维传统属于一种“横向的逻辑”思维传统，它模糊西方意义上的学科界限。
