Abstract:This paper deals with the experimental investigation on shallow cut wet grinding widely applied in Production, discusses how grinding depth and direction influence grinding burn and researches on the mechanism of shallow cut wet grinding. The experimental results show that grinding burn is related to grinding fluid film boiling. This fact must be considered when choosing optimum grinding working parameters.
