Abstract:Quantum-confined semiconductor nanocrystallite, which diameters are less than their bulk exciton diameter, have been the focus of much investigation recently. Because the difference in crystalline structure and size of semiconductor materials lead to considerable change in the effective masses of electrons and holes in their electronic bands, thus, their size and structure of crystalline of semiconductor nanocrystallinites is an important factor for determining their optical properties.
