Abstract:Based on the streamer and leader mechanism of spark breakdown in air, a fractal model is built to simulate the propagation of a spark breakdown path. The relation among the local electrical field, the dendritic streamer and the dispersion probability are described, which control the path geometry in this model. Its efficacy to describe the breakdown path propagation is finally proved by the simulation result on computer.
