Abstract:This paper addresses the problem of cooperative group behaviors among several autonomous robotic agents. Towards this end, an evolutionary approach is adopted to focusing on the evolution of robotic behavioral controller based on standard Genetic Algorithms. As an example, the performance of the selected task, driving an object toward a time-varying goal region, demonstrates the cooperation among three autonomous robots and the adaptation to the environment. Furthermore, the roles of the local and global interactions taken in the group intelligence are discussed.
