The Preliminary Study on the Translation Strategy of English Proverb

English proverbs appear not only in the literature writings, but also in other writing style. Therefore, the translation of English proverbs, good or not, affects the quality of the whole translation directly. The author aims to propose three translation methods of English proverbs （literal translation, liberal translation and substitution translation） and something to be paid attention to when translating English proverbs.
