带电椭球粒子对电磁波的散射

摘    要:通过求解给定边界条件下的Maxwell方程,给出了带电长椭球粒子对正入射于介质上的电磁波的散射解。在椭球坐标系下对矢量波方程进行分离变量,其解为关于椭球波函数的表达式。在边界条件的处理上,以往不考虑带电情况时仅采用椭球边界上电磁场切向分量连续的条件,而当考虑粒子带电以后,我们对磁场分量连续的条件进行了修正,并引入了面电导率参数。通过讨论发现,散射强度函数除了和以往考虑的几何物理参数有关外,还和面电导率紧密相关,而且面电导率的大小决定是否考虑带电影响。

Abstract:This paper presents the solution to electromagnetic scattering by a charged prolate spheroidal particle for parallel incidence by solving Maxwell's equations under given boundary conditions. By separating the vector wave equation in the spheroidal coordinates, we get the function in terms of the spheroidal wave functions, without regarding the continuity of tangential components of the electric and magnetic vectors across the surface of the spheroid, but adding the surface conductivity as a new coefficient to the boundary conditions because of the electric charges on the spheroid. By discussing the results it can be concluded that the scattering intensity is related not only to the parameters considered before but also to surface conductivity, which decides whether the electric charges are to be taken into account.
