Abstract:A nanometer powder of perovskite-type oxides La0.65Sr0.3MnO3(LSMO) was synthesized by sol-gel method,and the structure and the catalytic activity for oxygen reduction of the resulting compound were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction,Dynamic light scattering,Transmission electron micrographs and electrochemical measurement.The result of the linear sweep indicated that with 20%(w/w) carbon powder BP2000,LSMO exhibited catalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction in 0.1 mol·L-1 H2SO4,the onset potential was 0.5 V(vs SCE).The solubility of LSMO in the acid environment was also studied.Comparing to commercial Pt/C catalyst,the solubility of LSMO in acid environment was larger by an order of magnitude,but the stability of LSMO needs further improvement.
