| Abstract: | Tibetan Buddhism was, once more, introduced into Mongolia in 1680s. The Gelugpa, being popular at the beginning of 15th century, with the support of Weilate Mongolian aristocracy, came to be dominant among Tibetans and Mongolians. The paper discusses its spreading and development in Drun＇ ger Kingdom and its influence on the Weilate Mongolian history and the inter-relationship among different ethnic groups in the northwestern China. |
