| Abstract: | The ideal society designed by the Confucian school is a society of Taiping and Datong, in which the whole world is one community with benevolent government reigning under heaven. The wish for a society of Taiping and Datong represents the sense of righteousness, responsibility and the breadth of vision of the Confucian school as well as the spirit of endless pursuit. In this thesis the author advocates that the wish for a society of Taiping and Datong has become an inner motive force to promote the social progress. |
