汉代画像石辟邪兽的历史渊源及文化意义

摘    要:在汉代画像石中除了描写农耕、战争、宴饮等场面外,最多的要属墓葬前面用来祭祀的辟邪兽了。从目前考古发掘出土的东汉石辟邪来看,其兽形象并不统一,制作也较为粗糙。在这些石兽中,除了宗资墓前有"辟邪"字样的石兽外,很可能有一部分石兽如穷奇等在当时被称为"辟邪"。,对汉代墓葬的研究,发现这种"观看"的主体并非是一个外在的观者,而是想象中墓葬内部的死者灵魂。这就是汉代大量存在于汉代墓葬中的画像石会有大量辟邪兽的原因所在。

Abstract:Among carved stones in the Han Dynasty,besides description of farming,wars and banquets,more are evil-spirit-driving beasts for sacrifice in front of tombs.Viewed from unearthed evil-spirit-driving beasts in carved stones in the Han Dynasty,the image of beasts is not identical and the creation is rough.Among the stone beasts,except the ones with characters of "evil-spirit-driving" in front of tombs,a part of stones such as qiongqi were called "evil-spirit-driving" at that time.A study of the tombs in the Han Dynasty shows that the subject of "looking" is not an external looker but the imagined soul of the dead in a tomb,which accounts for the fact that there are many carved stones with evil-spirit-driving beasts in the tombs of the Han Dynasty.
