保持二维流形性的拓扑简化研究

摘    要:针对现有的网格简化方法不能一直保持模型的二维流形性,提出了2种基于图形旋转系统的拓扑改变操作CutHandle和CreateHandle,这2种操作能够保持模型的二维流形性,并且不改变模型的外观.CutHandle操作能够切断一个复杂的柄,也可以封闭一个洞.CreateHandle是其逆操作.在此基础上,提出一种新的基于图形旋转系统的网格简化方法,能够进行拓扑简化,并保持模型的二维流形性.对斯坦福大学的bone模型和buddhaf模型进行了试验,效果良好,模型始终保持了二维流形.

Abstract:The current mesh simplification methods can not preserve 2-manifold of models,so this paper presented two topology operations,CutHandle and CreateHandle.These two operations can preserve 2-manifold of models,and do not change the appearance of models.CutHandle operation can cut a handle or close a hole,and CreateHandle operation is the reverse operation of CutHandle.Based on these, a new mesh simplification method based on graph rotation system was presented,which could support topology simplification and preserve 2-manifold of models.We have tested this method by using the bone model and buddhaf model of Stanford University.The results are satisfactory,because the models preserve 2-manifold during the test.
