Abstract:Switched reluctance motor has the advantages of simple structure, reliable operation, low cost, and large output torque, however, it also has the defect of large torque ripple, which limits its application fields. In order to suppress the torque ripple, a new type of stator structure is proposed in this paper. A wedged angle is added on each side of the stator pole end, which reduces the sudden change of the air gap when the stator and rotor start to overlap. It can decrease the energy saltation in the air gap magnetic field, so as to reduce the torque ripple. Firstly, the influence of each parameter of the special wedged angle on the average torque and torque ripple was analyzed. On this basis, the parameters of the wedged angle were optimized with the three-dimensional data visualization algorithm, and the optimal parameter set was obtained. Finally, the finite element simulation was used to verify the effectiveness of the design scheme. The results show that the wedged angle proposed in this paper can effectively suppress the torque ripple and has little influence on the average torque of the motor.
