Summary of Multi-sensor Imformation Fusion

Multi- sensor information fusion technique enables a system to use sensors in phase. A correct and complete estimate can be obtained by analysising and integrating the feature information of the unkown envioroment. Since more information,and more accurate and more reliable solution can be obtained with multi- sensor information fusion technology,thus the limitation of single sensor system can be avoided. Plenty of algorithms can be used in each level of information fusion. The background,conception,principle,the partition of fusion level,the approaches of fusion,the predicting trend in the development trend of multi- sensor information fusion and the problems to be solved are respectively described in this paper.
