| 摘 要： | The compact narration of mystery fictions makes them different from other literature works. To achieve the goal of being brief and attractive, the author must transfer oral and spoken English in a flexible way, be faithful to daily life to arouse resonating, and knows the skills to keep his or her work fluent. This paper will make a discourse analysis on a passage from ＂Endless Night＂ of Agatha Christie in aspects of genre, intimacy degree and reference.
