| Abstract: | In common mechanics textbooks, in inferring the theorem of parallel axis to calculate the moment of inertia of rigid body, there implies a condition, that is, turning axis must be vertical to the section of rigid body. In this article, we infer the theorem of parallel axis when the turning axis is not vertical to the section of rigid body and finally point out that the common theorem of parallel axis is only one of its special instance. |
