| Abstract: | Midwives play important roles in the maternal and infant health work during the period of the Republic of China for they introduce new delivering method, popularize modern knowledge of maternal and infant health and promote the development of the medical cause of the Republic of China. On the one hand, the professional development of midwives is influenced by various social factors;on the other hand, it is also a result of the attention and support of the national government. |
