Abstract:In this paper, the effeefs of modification on the microstructure,mechanical properties and abrasion resistance of low chromium wearresistant cast iron meltedwith tungsten slag are investigated. The results obtained show that the morphology ofcarbides in the law chromium wearresistant cast iron melted with tungsten slag, treatedwith inoculants containing V, Xt and B, Changes from continuous network to isolated,fine irregular blocks and at the same time,the impact toughness. increases by 120% andabrasion resistance raises by 40%.
