| 摘 要： | 诗体剧《阿塔兰塔在卡吕冬》是英国维多利亚时期著名诗人A．C．史文朋的代表作，是英国诗歌史和世界文学史上一朵瑰丽的奇葩。分析剧中女主角阿尔泰娅的性格缺陷，研究该诗体剧的悲剧性，可得出结论：《阿塔兰塔在卡吕冬》是一个悲剧性作品，剧中阿尔泰娅的悲剧是由她性格中的致命弱点导致的。阿尔泰娅的悲剧自作品问世以来一直引起广大读者的巨大同情和恐惧。

| Abstract: | The poetic drama Atalanta in Calydon is the masterpiece of A.C.Swinburne,a famous British poet of the Victorian times.This paper expounds the tragic quality of the work by analizing the shortcomings of the heroine,Althaea,and draws the conclusion that Atalanta in Calydon is a tragedy of character,and Althaea's tragedy results from the deadly defects in her characters.Her tragedy has been arousing great pity and fear among readers since the play was published,and is a rare flower in the garden of Swinburne's... |
