德贞:东西方医学文化的交流使者

John Dudgeon (1837-1901) was a good doctor and a person of great fame at home and abroad in the 19th century Peking. He was the founder of Peking hospital which was the predecessor of Peking Union Hospital. Chinese imperial medical education began from him. He translated Gray Anatomy, the classic anatomy textbook of the world, and Harvey's De Motu Cordis (On The Motion Of The Heart And Blood In Animals,1628) into Chinese.
