摘    要:1989年促红细胞生成素(erythropoietin,EPO)开始应用于临床,但它的应用范围主要局限于治疗各类贫血,如肾性贫血、爱滋病患者贫血、癌症相关贫血等。近年的研究发现,EPO在中枢神经系统内也有大量的分布,并且有其受体的广泛表达。脑源性EPO的生成受多种因素的影响。EPO具有营养神经的功能,并且在中枢神经系统的发生发育、神经功能的维持以及多种神经系统损伤中有着重要作用。

Abstract:Since 1989 erythropoietin has been used safely and effectively for over decade for the treatment of anemia related to a variety of disorders, including chronic renal failure, antiretroviral therapy for HIV infection, and cancer chemotherapy, etc. Recently, it has been showed that EPO and its receptor are distributed in the Central Nervous System(CNS) extensively. Nerve derived EPO is affected by many factors. EPO has important functions in neurous nutrition, development of the CNS and the CNS injury and so on.
