| Abstract: | In this paper, the transmission characteristics of inhomogeneous planar dielectricwaveguides are calculated by solving the transfer matrix equations which are obtained byseparating the waveguide into n layers. This method is of universality for analysing thewaveguides with arbitrary distributions of dielectric constants. |
