There are a group of native Ningbo-writers in the history of modern literature, namely, Suqing, Roushi, Baren, Wang Luyan, etc, with established foothold on the scene of Chinese Literature. Although they did not become famous one after another until they left their hometown, Ningbo, almost all of their name-making pieces of writing were deeply rooted in the soil of this land.
