| 摘 要： | 从词汇的概念意义和联想意义入手，对汉语成语进行深入分析并将其翻译成英语，或泽为英语成语，或不译为英语成语，旨在分析、理解汉语成语的本义及内涵，而不拘泥于目的语的形式。对成语翻译形式的过分讲究可能导致理解的偏颇。

| Abstract: | This paper is intended to make a detailed analysis of Chinese idioms by examining the referential meaning and associative meaning of Chinese characters and then translating them into English , either into idioms or non - idioms. Besides, it strives to analyze and understand the Chinese idioms thoroughly and not rigidly adhere to the form of English idioms. Too much attention to the form of English idioms may lead to misinterpreting of Chinese idioms. |
